I. COOKIES AND OTHER TECHNOLOGIES

We use cookies and other similar mechanisms to understand how users interact with our Website and for marketing purposes, including displaying ads to them on other websites.

What are cookies?

A cookie is a small text file saved by a website on your computer, phone, or other device when you visit the website. The cookie contains data about your use of the site.

Some cookies are essential for the operation of our Store and cannot be turned off. For other cookies, we ask for your consent upon your first visit to our Website. We do not use advertising or analytical cookies (or any other than essential ones) without your consent.

What types of cookies do we use?

  • Essential Cookies
These cookies are necessary for the website to function properly. You cannot disable them, as our site will not work correctly without them. This includes tools that store your privacy settings, showing your consent or lack thereof for enabling specific types of cookies on our site. Other essential cookies are used for the proper functioning and management of our site, such as making changes to the site and running tracking tools that you have consented to.
  • Statistical Analysis
We use tools that collect analytical data to understand how users interact with our Website. The data we receive from these tools does not provide us with information about individual people but allows us to track various aspects of user interaction with the Website. This data can be aggregated and analyzed statistically, helping us make decisions about changes to our Store and/or our advertising and marketing communications. A list of the analytical tools used on our Website, including (i) the tool provider, (ii) its specific purpose, and (iii) the data collected, can be found in Appendix 1 to this policy and briefly in the cookie consent management panel.
  • Advertising Cookies
We use advertising tools to display our ads on other websites you visit, including social media (targeted ads), measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns, and tailor our communication to the information we have about you. A list of the advertising tools used on our Website, including (i) the tool provider, and (ii) its specific purpose, can be found in Appendix 1 to this policy and briefly in the cookie consent management panel.
  • Functional Cookies
Some cookies on our site are used to enable additional features, such as chat modules, product review and rating systems, product recommendations to friends, and displaying recently viewed products in our Store. A list of functional tools used on our Website, including their specific purpose, can be found in the cookie consent management panel.
  • Social Media Plugins and Links
We have included links to our social media profiles on our Website: Facebook / Instagram / TikTok / LinkedIn. If you visit our profile on these services, the service owner will receive information that you came from our Store. Details about data processing by these social media services can be found on the providers’ websites:
  • Videos
Some videos on the Website are embedded using plugins from Instagram (owned by Meta Platforms) or TikTok. When you play such videos on our Website, Instagram/TikTok receives information from your browser, even if you do not have a profile or are not logged in. If you have previously logged into these services, the provider may be able to directly link the video playback to your profile. If you want to prevent Instagram/TikTok from collecting information about your activity on our Website, you can:
    • Avoid playing the video (consent to play a video will be treated as consent for other videos on our Website until you withdraw it),
    • Refuse consent for cookies from these services on our Website, or
    • Log out of these services.

For more information on data processing by Instagram/TikTok, you can find details here / here.

APPENDIX 1 TO THE PRIVACY POLICY OF THE STORE

  • List of Advertising and Analytical Tools Using Cookies

    • Analytical Cookies:
      • We use Google Analytics. The information collected by Google Analytics includes: the number of visits to the site, pages visited, the date of the first and last visit, duration of visits, the referring page, browser used, clicked links, geographic location (anonymized IP address), etc. Google assigns each user a unique identifier (Google ID) and collects data from cookies across various websites. We receive reports from Google related only to traffic on our Website. Detailed information about Google Analytics can be found here and here.
      • You can permanently prevent Google Analytics from collecting data from your browser by installing a special plugin available here.
    • Cookies from Our Store Software Provider:
      • The provider of the software that powers our Store – shoper.pl – places cookies on our site to collect aggregated information on how customers use online stores (pages visited, time spent, products viewed, clicks, analytical data related to purchases, e.g., conversion rates). This data is used to create aggregate reports for e-store owners, containing general information (without personal data) about customer interests, peak shopping periods, etc. This helps vendors (including us) to improve their stores and optimize sales processes. Full information is available in the Cookie Policy for visitors to Shoper stores.
    • Advertising Cookies:
      • We use Google Ads and other Google advertising tools. Google collects data from cookies placed on your device, including data from all websites where you have allowed Google to use cookies for advertising (including our Website). Google uses this information to display ads on other sites you visit. Typically, Google cookies expire after 3 months. As advertisers using Google services, we do not have access to specific cookie data but can target ads based on aggregated criteria. We may also use Google Marketing Platform tools to measure campaign effectiveness. More about how Google uses cookies for advertising and how to manage ad settings can be found here and here.
      • Meta Conversion Pixel (Facebook and Instagram):
        • We use a “conversion pixel” (remarketing pixel) from Meta to manage ads on Facebook and Instagram. If you consent to the use of this cookie on our Website, Meta Platforms will receive information that you visited our Website, which is linked to your profile if you have one. If not, the information is linked to a created “Facebook ID.” This allows us to target ads to users who have visited our Website or specific pages (remarketing). We receive only statistical data on ad effectiveness without reference to specific users. If you have a Facebook or Instagram account, more information on data protection can be found here and here. More about the Meta remarketing pixel can be found here.
